Who Are We?

First of all, our name "Dawn Treader" is taken from the title of one of C.S. Lewis’ novels in his collection known as The Chronicles of Narnia. In the novel, entitled The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, a little ship takes its seafarers on an adventure to lands they never knew existed. But along the way they find themselves transformed, discovering new places and possibilities within themselves they never knew existed.

About the Coach

Doug Hunderman is a semi-retired minister/pastor, who has himself experienced significant life transformation and transitions to new careers. In an earlier period of his life Doug was involved in commercial chemical research. Then he went on to receive his Masters Degree from Calvin Theological Seminary. As an ordained pastor he had wide-ranging experiences in personal counseling, mentoring, and coaching, including grief recovery coaching. Working with both large groups and smaller teams he has been a consultant in Master Planning Processes, facilitating renewed vision and strategic action plans with non-profit entities and businesses.
